I paused my startup idea because my family needed financial stability right now.
I wanted to launch my own organic clothing line. I had all the things… sketches, the vendors lined up, and a burning passion. But right around that time, my father went through a medical crisis, and my younger sister’s college fees were due. A startup meant zero income for at least a year.
So, I locked my sketches in a drawer and decided to take a high-paying 9-to-5 corporate job. Mumma caught me crying one night and said, “Beta, responsibilities are not a full stop to your dreams; they are just a detour.”
I am earning well now, supporting my family, and saving a chunk of my salary. I haven’t given up on my brand. I’m just building a stronger runway so that when I finally fly, my family won’t fall.
